http://www.weather.com/weather/climatology/monthly/81657

This gives you the average daily highs and lows for Vail, which is about 1,000 ft. higher than our home. So add about 5 degrees to these averages.  Edwards is warmer than Vail.  In the summer expect cool sunny mornings turning to mixed clouds and potential thunderstorms in the PM.  July is the warmest month. Beautiful!

In the winter, expect very cold mornings.  During the day, it could be snowy and windy, or bright sunshine with comfortable winter temperatures.

Q: How crowded is the mountain during ski season?

A: At seven miles wide, finding fresh tracks at Vail is as easy as finding elbow room. In fact, on an average day, there are only two skiers per acre, and on a busy day, only four!

A: www.ecosports.com
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: Is there plenty of flat lawn area for the kids to play?

I have 3 girls and 2 nephews. There is plenty of room for them.  But it's not a huge front yard.  If you take our lawn and add parts of the golf course, there's lots of room to more around.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: Is there a lake nearby for swimming and or fishing?

There are a bunch of lakes in the area for fishing, scattered throughout the Valley.  The best ones require a hike.  Others, including some reservoirs, are easily reached by car. Swimming in lakes doesn't happen much up at this altitude.  The water can still be quite cold in July.

Q: Is the house on the golf course?

Yes, we are behind the 17th green, which is a par 3. If you are concerned about golf balls, don't be. We are far removed from the green. People are using 7, 8 and 9-irons on this hole. A miss-hit club like these won't go too far off track. And we are not to the right or left of the tee box, which is were the miss-hits go. We are behind the green.
